Sign, Sign, Everywhere a Sign

Sign Sign everywhere a sign
Blocking out the scenery breaking my mind
Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign

All of the following signs can be seen while standing in one spot at the Long Beach Harbor. It appears that one may be able to sail a boat but can't figure much else out with out a sign. Here's your sign!

Oops! didn't notice until I loaded the picture in the computer. Apparently this should be painted dumping zone. I guess someone didn't read the sign above -- Clean up after your dog.

80 and climbing

I decided to go for a walk this morning around 7:30. It was already about 80 degrees. Hot. Have I mentioned that I hate hot? I was walking down the hill and realized that I could just turn around and walk back up when I reached the bottom but I would be in that blazing hot sun and probably get somewhat toasted. Second option -- the loop. I could get to the bottom of the hill and then turn west and walk along the horse trail that is nicely covered with trees, then head north on the other side of the housing track and walk along the shady path. This option is also much longer. So I went with the shade. I am happy to report that I survived -- only because I had Queen on the ipod cheering me on. (by the way fat bottom girls do make the rocking world go round). When I got home the pool look enticing, cool, refresing, relaxing. But ahh no - I mopped the kitchen floor instead.
Looks cool.
I could take a dip later but by then it will be 99 degrees. Too hot.

Which one is best?

Below are a few frames I have set out. I can't decide which picture to have in the one frame. What do you think?

So what do you think. Oh wait a minute. I think I will have them all since this is the spiffy new digital photo frame that I got for Mothers day. It is a blast. I can have my favorite pictures or just whatever pictures I feel in the mood for. I can also have some background music. What can I say -- they done good!

Here I am

My oh my, it has been a while since I posted. The last few weeks have been crazy busy. I took Katey back up to school. Flew out on Thursday and back on Saturday. Last weekend I went to BYU Womens Conference. You are looking at the one and only photo I took. Yes, 3 California girls in the slush. We are easily amused. Conference was great and spending time with friends even greater. The highlight of the conference of course had to be hearing and seeing the Prophet speak. He reminded us that" everyday is a special occasion -- a day to call an old friend, talk to family, send a note, give a compliment, give a hug". He also said that we should "never let a problem to be solved be more important than a person to be loved". Well there you have it. I will be working on these for a while. Sister Julie Beck was one of my favorites. She blew me away I guess thats why she is the Pres. and finally I attended a class on children's literature. This is one of the loves of my life and it was a great class. Basically, any of you out there reading this if you have kids, turn off that dang tv and read, read, read to your kids. Ok, so I have been thinking of all the things I should have posted in the last few days and weeks. I may just let them go or I may post them late (ex: mothers day).

And finally: to my stalker Korie--Welcome. I am so excited you fessed up. I am going to check out your blog and leave a post too. It's kinda weird how you can find people when you blog hop! And if there is anyone else out there stalking me show yourself. Just once so that I will know that I am not talking to myself.

Do I really look like that all the time or just at the end of a really long day?
