Apple Blossoms

We finally had some rain this last weekend and at the same time our Apple blossoms arrived. the rain is now gone and it has heated up here and just a few blossoms remain. Good news, Katey passed her drivers license test today. Now she just needs something to drive.

LDS Prom

What could be more fun than a night of dressing up, fine dining, and dancing. Katey and friends had a fantastic time at the LDS Prom. The girls looked beautiful. Katey chose a tinkerbell green dress covered with pearls and lots of fluff.

The theme was Classic Hollywood. The girls loved that Red Carpet Walk.

Everyone when stag. No dates. Looks like it wasn't a problem for anyone.

We are all so lucky to have had our favorite photographer on hand to take some great photos of the event. Thanks Lori Larson for sharing your talent. These photos are courtesy of Lori.

My Boy

Sean was here for the week between semesters. It was fun to have him here. He brought Stacey and showed her around our little corner of California. The usual: the beach, In-n-Out, Hiking, dirt bike riding, The Getty, and the jacuzzi. Now he is back in Idaho for his summer semester. He took his mountain bike and a Dirt Bike with him. Remember Sean - Focus!

Smile!

It is hard to believe but one morning while jamming the toast this is what appeared with the flick of a jelly filled spoon. That's right. This was not painted on. One flick of the wrist and this is how the jelly landed. I don't know about you but I think it's a good sign when your toast at the start of the day is happy.

It seemed like a good idea

Since Natalie was in town I thought it would be a great time to go visit Huntington Gardens. I haven't been there since I was a kid but I remembered that it was a cool place. We thought we could check out the Museums and take some nice pictures. We decided on Thursday since it was free to get in. We started out on our adventure with high hopes of a relaxing day strolling through the gardens enjoying the beautiful weather, flowers, and art. When we got off the freeway we hit a brick wall of cars. After driving for about 3 miles down a one lane residential street that goes into the gardens at a snails pace we new we were in trouble. We ended up having to park outside the gardens in a residential area. There were hundreds of cars parked everywhere and people galore. We decided to tough it out and go in anyway. After all it was free and we were there. I have to say that it was like being at Disneyland. People crawling all over the place. The gardens were beautiful but forget taking a picture without ten thousand people in it. Is my memory of the place warped or has it always been this way. I vote that they start taking reservations and limit the number of people that they let in. Oh, well we have a good story anyways. Here are couple of pics that give you some idea of how it was.

Salt Lake City

We had a great time this last weekend in Salt Lake City. The family made the trek up to SLC on Thursday to enjoy LDS General Conference. The weather was perfect! Troy and Connie were also in town and the O.S. (Other Sister) Lindsey came to visit. We visited our Grandma Memmott, saw the Joseph Smith movie, and had lots of laughs. The only other thing that would have made it perfect would have been to have Sean and David with us and of course all the rest of you too. The conference was wonderful. What a fantastic memory this will be.
