Ken and I took the girls to LACMA or the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Danielle was interested in an exhibit they have on textiles that has designer clothing and Katey was interested in the photography. Well wouldn't you know it but both exhibits were closed because of renovations. We enjoyed the art anyway. The museum has a program right now for school age children that gives them a free membership for a year and every time they go they get to have one adult go in for free. Great idea for you art lovers. This includes all the gallery's as well as the Tarpits. Check it out. We didn't even see half of what they have.
The buildings are even works of art.
This was actually a billboard we could see from the patio area. It's modern day art for sure.
Danielle in thought
This was from africa. It was made of aluminum and tied together with copper wire. It was huge and the colors incredible.
This is the car Katey wants. It has a taco seat.

Santa Cruz Vacation
Here is a video of some of the great fun and beautiful sights from our vacation:
We had a wonderful time. It was so peaceful and beautiful. There was no cell reception, no computers, just quiet. Ken and Katey sailed the Bella up to Oxnard on Saturday. The rest of us met them up there on Sunday night and we sailed out on Monday morning to the Island. It took around 2 1/2 hours to get to the island. We anchored and started kayaking right away. The water there is just so clear and blue. Here are some of my favorite pics.
Our fearless leader:
Sean and Stacey. Stacey was a fearless lady. She wasn't afraid to try anything.
Katey and Danielle:
Yup, that's me in a wetsuit, on a kayak in a sea cave.
We had to get off our Kayaks, swim down a long narrow tunnel through the cave and then it opened up into this little rocky beach area. We turned off all our headlights. We couldn't even see our hand in front of our face. The Heaths the Stowells and the Kirtleys.
