Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween Everyone. This is our neighborhood this morning. Absolutely beautiful. I pasted this together so the arch is a bit out of whack but I think you get the idea. We are also so happy to have the little bit of rain after the fire. Happy trick-or-treating.

Happy Birthday Boy Child

Happy 23rd Birthday to my Boy Child. I think Heavenly Father new I was only going to have one boy so he sent me the very best.


Born at 12:11 pm at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo Utah.

Have you ever seen such and adorable face and curls?


Sean has always loved the outdoors and hanging with his Dad.

He has a great sense of adventure and fun.


He loves his bike.

He honors his priesthood, serves the Lord faithfully and sets a great example for the rest of our family.
At 23 he is living the life.

His parents couldn't love him more. Happy Birthday Son!

Pomegranate Jelly

On Saturday I noticed that Pomegranates were selling for $3.45 each at the grocery store. I didn't buy any. I got an email from a fearless friend to join her along with anyone else who was brave enough to make pomegranate jelly. I was considering it and then Ken mentioned that he would love some of that jelly. That sealed the deal. So bright and sort of early Monday I gathered my jars, sugar, pectin, apron and knife and joined my friends for our pomegranate adventure.

First we cleared off the tree, then we set to work preparing the fruit. The seeds were such a beautiful color. We juiced, cooked, stirred and bottled all morning.

These jars are the result of our hard work. Let me say it takes a whole lot of pomegranate to make a little bit of jelly but it tastes soooooo good. Of course the best part was all of us working together. Thanks Nancy.

Palm Springs

Ken and I took a little drive out to Palm Springs on Wednesday. On the way out there I kept saying things like, "who would want to live here", "could it be any uglier out this way". Well then we got there. We had a little wait before it was time for the business at hand and as I sat in the car I started to notice the nice breeze and the beautiful blue of the sky and the really cool flowers and cacti. I grabbed my trusty point-and-shoot camera and this is what I saw.....











I thought this guy was kind of cool....

Halloween Costume Rescue Day 5

Here is an utterly easy idea.


Here is my little cow. This costume doesn't require much. Long underwear that you will draw cow spots on with black permanent pen. A bell on a ribbon around the neck, and a ribbon for the tail pinned on to the bum. The hardest part is the utters. Use baby bottle nipples and either hot glue them to the front of the pants or you can also sew them on. Use clear thread and sew right through the rubber.

Here is another use for those baby nipples. How about a pig. Use a pink one piece sleeper. Sew or glue the nipples on and don't forget to glue a curly pink pipe cleaner on for the tail. Use a piece of elastic and pink felt to make some ears.

It's as easy as one, two, teet.

These girls had a great idea. How easy is this. They wore white clothes, pinned a red dish cloth around the waist and got the hats at In-n-out. I think the badges they made on the computer.
